DIVEC

Smart electric and connected vehicle design

Challenge

The automotive industry is the second industrial sector in Spain, after the food industry, and the third in terms of investment in R&D. Divec is part of the call for the Strategic Projects for the Recovery and Economic Transformation for the Electric and Connected Vehicle (PERTE VEC). The objective of the PERTE VEC is to achieve more sustainable mobility and make Spain a leader in electromobility in Europe. DIVEC, within the Renault’s Main Demonstration project “Industrial innovation ecosystem for the manufacture of electric and connected vehicles in Spain” focuses on the mobility axis where technologies will be developed in order to provide vehicles with new functionalities. Sigma Cognition collaborates in the development of Artificial Intelligence algorithms in this field.

Solution

  • The DIVEC Project started in June 2022. We are currently collaborating with other project partners on the development phase of this project. DIVEC is working in about 23 different use cases covering many areas around the car technologies needed to push forward the functionalities of an electrical driven vehicle.
  • Sigma Cognition is leading three and participates very actively in a fourth one, all of them dealing with the processing of data captured by different sensors and applying deep learning to improve safety and allow ADAS algorithms to take advanced decisions and to analyze possible risks.

Results

The project has already defined the requirements in terms of SW and HW and now is actively developing all functionalities related to the use cases.

Stay tuned for further results!
